Long Itchington is a large Parish north of Southam incorporating the settlements of Long Itchington, Model Village, Bascote and Bascote Heath.
The name Long Itchington means 'farmstead on the River Itchen'. The village was the birthplace of St Wolstan, Bishop of Worcester from 1062. The manor was at one time owned by the Earl of Leicester who entertained Queen Elizabeth 1 when she visited Kenilworth. Holy Trinity Church is 14th century and there are 16th century timber frame houses.
