Dry Recycling - In your Blue Lidded Bin
The Blue Lidded bin can be used for the collection of waste paper, magazines, yellow pages, glass bottles and jars, food and drink cans, cardboard, plastic bottles, cartons, foil and household plastic packaging.
Household plastic packaging includes yoghurt pots, margarine tubs, fruit punnets, microwave trays etc but not film, cling film or carrier bags. All recycable items must be clean. Please put items loose in your blue lidded bin not in carrier bags. Unfortunately we cannot take plant pots.
This bin is collected every other week.
Green Waste - In your Green/Green Lidded Bin
The Green/Green Lidded Bin can be used for the collection of kitchen waste in addition to the green waste that will be collected from each home. This limit will be 2 bins per household per collection.
If you currently put out more than this for collection it will not be collected. However it is hoped that more households will use the home composting scheme, available from Warwickshire County Council, This will help to reduce the environmental impact caused by collecting material that can be composted at home. You can also call 0845 077 0757, charged at a local rate for more information.
General Waste - in your Grey Bin
The Grey Bin is for anything that can't be recycled in the other bins. This rubbish will be sent to landfill and will be collected every 2 weeks.
The bin should be put out for collection with the lid completely closed. No side waste will be collected.
