Stratford on Avon District Council are keen that all celebrations for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee are able to go ahead with the minimum of fuss and disruption.
Should it be necessary to close the road in order to hold your event, you will need to make an application for a road closure order. Road closures must be applied for 12 weeks in advance of the event (to allow for the consultation process which must precede such an order). This means that applications must be received by FRIDAY 9 MARCH 2012. The following link will take you to the Road Closures Application page.
The majority of street parties will be able to be conducted without the need for a licence. Any music played at a street party would be considered to be incidental to the event and would not require a licence. However, if you are looking to sell alcohol at your event, you will need to make an application for a Temporary Event Notice.
Events must be applied for at least ten full and clear working days in advance. The final date for receipt of applications for a Temporary Event Notice is FRIDAY 18 MAY 2012. Applications received after this time will be unable to be processed. The following link will take you to the Temporary Event Notice Application page.
