All enclosed workplaces and public places are smoke free by since 1st July 2007
The legislation covers all premises, which are wholly or substantially enclosed, and used as a place of work by more that one person. smoking rooms will no longer be allowed.
Employers, owners and managers must ensure their premises are smoke free, proposed actions include putting up 'no smoking' signs which meet minimum standards. It is also proposed that vehicles used at a workplace by more than one person, regardless if they are not in the vehicle at the same time, will also have to be smoke free at all times.

Stratford on Avon District Council will be hosting a series of roadshows offering advice and support on how to comply with the Regulations:
A Guide for workplaces is currently in preparation to help local businesses to Manage the Shift to Smoke free.
