Persons wishing to undertake Charitable House to House Collections within the Stratford-on-Avon District Council area, must apply for a House to House Collections Licence.
Organisations in receipt of a Home Office Exemption are not required to apply locally. However they are requested to advise the Council in writing of the existence of their exemption along with the date and location of collection. Having received this information the Council can avoid double booking an area.
It is the Council's policy to allow only one collection in a location at any one time.
Applications should be submitted at least 28 days prior to the requested date for the collection and sent to Elizabeth House. If the requested date is available, the licence and conditions together with a form of statement (returns form) will be issued to the applicant.
Following the collection, a form of statement (returns form) must be returned to the Council within one month of the collection taking place, giving an account of monies raised.
The application form can be downloaded via the link to the right.
