Scrap Metal Dealers

By virtue of the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 1964, Stratford-on-Avon District Council is required to hold a register of all scrap metal dealers in our district. If a dealer maintains a scrap metal store within our area then an application must be made to this authority for registration. Where the dealer does not occupy a store he should register in either the area where he usually resides or where he has a place wholly or partly occupied for the purposes of a scrap metal business.

Please note that this licence is free of charge.
