Street Trading anywhere within the District of Stratford-on-Avon is prohibited without the consent of the Authority, which controls such activity on any land to which the public have access without payment.
Every street in our district has been deemed a 'Consent Street', which means a street in which Street Trading is prohibited without the consent of Stratford-on-Avon District Council.
'Street Trading' means the selling or exposing or offering for sale, any article (including a living thing), in any street, road, footway, or other area to which the public have access without payment.
A copy of our current Street Trading Policy is available to view or download. This gives information and guidance to applicants and sets out our current Street Trading fees.
Click here to download a Street Trading application form. Please ensure that you provide all the required supporting documentation which is outlined in the checklist and the relevant fee. Incomplete applications will be returned. This form can also be used if renewing an existing Street Trading Consent.
If you wish to organise a Market, or a special event which will have multiple stalls, which is not covered by the existing 'Markets Charter', click here for a Markets/Special Events application form.
For further information please contact the Licensing Team on 01789 260211 or by email at licensing@stratford-dc.gov.uk or by fax on 01789 260860.
