In times of recession, you may need to seek help locally. Help is available from both the council and other organisations. This page combines different sources into one area to make it easier for you to find support.
Stratford District Council The district council offers support and advice with:
Cov & Warks Co-operative Development Agency Stratford-on-Avon District Council has external agency (Coventry and Warwickshire Co-operative Development Agency) that comes in to Elizabeth House every Tuesday afternoon between 1pm and 4pm, to give people help and support with their finances.
The services they provide include:
- Opening a bank account
- Budgeting Advice
- A Bill paying service
- Access to loans
- Regular Savings
- Access to other financial services

Free National bus pass (60 or over) If you are 60+ or disabled you may be entitled to a free bus pass. This will allow you to travel anywhere in England on any local bus, for free. Visit our concessionary bus pass page
Free Parking Pass (65 or over) If you are 65 or over, a resident of the district and the driver of a vehicle you can apply for a pass which entitles you to free parking. Visit our concessionary parking pass page
Community Links Community links aims to help residents of Stratford-on-Avon District who are stuck for transport get to local destinations, door-to-door, on set weekdays between about 9.30am and 2.30pm. Visit our community links page

Consumer Debt Counselling If you are not sure how best to deal with your current debt problem, use the CCCS Debt Remedy online tool to get debt advice tailored to your needs. It's produced by the Consumer Credit Counselling Service - a debt advice charity with over 15 years of experience of helping people across the UK manage their debts to eventually become debt free. They also provide free IVAs, debt relief orders and debt management plans if a more formal debt solution is needed to tackle your individual debt problem. www.cccs.co.uk
